Organic Methods of Weed Control in Brinjal (Solanum melongena L.) Cultivation- Alternative to Conventional Chemical Control

The current study, named "Development of organic farming package for brinjal (Solanum melongena L.)," was carried out at the Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth's Research Farm in Rahuri, District Ahmednagar, Maharashtra (India), during kharif seasons 2017 and 2018. Due to weed free treatment followed by mechanical (hoeing) intercultivation pulling weeds 20 days intervals from 80 after transplanting 2018, monocot dicot intensity, category wise density (grasses, broad-leaved weeds, sedges), total dry matter were significantly lower magnitudes control efficiency higher magnitudes. Weed index also lower. method weed-free culture resulted parameters growth brinjal.
